MY PHILOSOPHY
For as long as I can remember, I've had a paintbrush in hand.
Some of my earliest memories were spent at my grandparents' cabin tucked away in the hills of Tennessee, where I wandered through the woods collecting wildflowers, filling sketchbooks, and learning to notice the quiet beauty of the natural world. Those summers continue to inspire so much of my work today.
That love of art eventually led me south, where I earned my degree in studio art, met my husband, and built a life here in Georgia. After years spent creating meaningful experiences through event planning, becoming a mother drew me back to the creative work that had always felt like home.
What began as a leap of faith eventually became Hansford House—a place where art, hospitality, and meaningful celebrations come together.

The answer is simple: family.
While I never changed my last name after getting married, my husband and our children carry the Hansford name. As I began building this business, I knew I wanted its foundation to reflect the people who inspired it in the first place.
Hansford House is a tribute to my family and the life we're building together. It's a reminder of why I took a leap of faith, why I returned to my creative roots, and why I believe so deeply in creating work that celebrates meaningful moments.
